The Blue Ocean Awards, directly inspired by Blue Ocean Strategy | Shift, were created in 2014 to recognize the most innovative and ambitious French entrepreneurs that are striving to create a blue ocean in their industries. The Blue Ocean Awards are a great opportunity for companies to be highlighted in one of the most prestigious competitions.

The 5th edition – organized by HEC Paris, AXESSIO and the DGE (Directorate General of Enterprise) – has grown tremendously with sponsors and partners such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Forbes, Bred, Carrefour, EDF, INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property) and many others, and is officially supported and hosted by the French Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Out of 400 submissions, 19 French companies passed the first screening. Over September and October, the jury met these 19 finalists who presented their companies and interacted with them during Q&A sessions.

The 2018 jury is composed of top executives from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, EDF, Carrefour, HEC Paris, DGE, INPI, AXESSIO, Davidson Consulting, Innovation Finance, Cap Digital, Pink Innov ‘, Techsap West, IE-Club and many investors such as Cape Horn Invest, Newfund, Serena Capital or the Women Business Angels network.
